Teacher Lisa
Teacher Lisa joined The Children's Place staff as Director in January of 1989.
Lisa attended San Francisco State University, where she graduated with a
Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Movement Education for young
children. Following graduation, Lisa started teaching kindergarten at
Holy Family Day Home, a private school and day care in San Francisco. In
the fall of 1983 Lisa entered the graduate program for Early Childhood
Education. After finishing coursework in 1989, Lisa accepted the position as
Director of The Children's Place.

Teachers

Teacher Marci
Teacher Marci joined the TCP staff in July of 2006. Marci has experience as both a
preschool teacher and a personal Nanny. She received her A.A. degree in Liberal Studies
from Canada College in 1987. Marci continued her education and also received her Early
Childhood Education Certificate from Canada College. Marci has worked an instructional
Aide at the College of San Mateo and as both a Teacher's Aide and a Teacher at St. Paul's
Nursery school. She bring with her 20 years of experience working with young children.

Teacher Michael
Teacher Michael joined The Children's Place staff in September of 1999.
Michael studied his Early Childhood Education courses through the child
development program at Canada College and graduated with his Bachelor of
Science degree in Psychology from Notre Dame College.

Teacher Chrissie
Teacher Chrissie received both and AA degree in Child Development and her
Early Childhood Education Certificate from Canada College in May of 2007.
She has been working in child care since 2005. Chrissie loves working
with children and thrives on making learning fun in a safe, comfortable
and enjoyable environment. Chrissie joined the TCP staff in July of 2010.

Teacher Liz
Teacher Liz has completed the ECE Certificate program from UC Santa Cruz in July of 2011.
Liz has been working with children since 2007 and joined the TCP staff in March of 2010.

Teacher Christina
Teacher Christina has completed 12 units in Early Childhood Education.
Christina is a graduate of Sequoia High School in Redwood City, and is trained
as a Certified Nurse's Aide. She has completed 12 units of Early Childhood
Education at Canada College and is continuing her education. Though this is
her first teaching experience, Christina has a natural gift and sensitivity
that makes the children feel loved and secure. Christina joined the TCP Staff
in October of 2009.

Teacher Gloria
Teacher Gloria was born in el Salvador where she received her elementary
and post elementary education. As a Los Angeles resident, she worked as a
kindergarten aide for the Los Angeles School District for 6 years. In
1999, she moved to the Bay Area and joined The Children's Place staff.
Gloria has completed her study in Early Childhood Education at both Canada
and Skyline Colleges. Gloria has also developed a Spanish Class
introducing the language to our children.

Teacher Kyra
Tearch Kyra has received AA degrees in both Early Childhood Development and
Behavioral Sciences. She has been working in the early childhood field since
1992. Kyra thrives on finding new and creative ways to present curriculum to
the children and chooses activities that engage children while helping them to
learn in a fun, natural way. Kyra joined the TCP staffin August 2009.

Teacher Maria
Teacher Maria Joined the TCP staff in 2007. Maria received her ECE units from the
American College of Early Childhood Education. Currently she works as our afternoon
teacher and comes in earlier as needed. She is a native of Columbia.

Substitute Teachers

Teacher Kay
Teacher Kay has been in the Early Childhood field since 1976. She graduated form the
College of Notre Dame, Belmont in 1991 with a BS degree in Human Services.
Now retired, she substitutes for the staff during meetings and vacations.
